Bill Feland, President and Owner, started Preferred Roofing & Construction Co. in October of 1993, as a residential and light commercial roofing company. After obtaining his bachelor's degree in business management from Southern Nazarene University, he worked as a claims adjuster and supervisor for six years, continuing to roof on the side. Dealing with roofing contractors daily, he recognized the need for an honest contractor with roofing expertise and decided to go full-time into the roofing business. In the past 18 years, he has continued to increase his knowledge of the roofing industry, becoming involved with the National Roofing Contractor's Association, the Midwest Roofing Contractor's Association, the Spray Polyurethane Foam Association, as well as participating in several roofing manufacturer's training schools, including Conklin Co. and Foam Enterprises.
